Why this site exists
Built out of frustration
Spain Destination started with a simple frustration: most travel sites about Spain are either recycled listicles, built to serve advertisers first, or written by someone who’s never actually walked the streets they’re describing.
I wanted something different: guides with real prices in euros, honest opinions, and no pay-to-play recommendations. So that’s what I built.

Our approach
Every guide on this site is researched carefully and written to be genuinely useful, not padded out to rank higher on Google. I’d rather publish 50 guides you can trust than 500 you can’t.
No one can pay to be recommended here. If something’s included, it’s because I think it’s worth your time. How we check our facts
A price, an opening hour, or a “free entry on Mondays” claim is only useful if it is actually true, and prices and hours change constantly in the travel industry. In August 2026 we ran a full audit of prices, hours, and visiting policies against the actual official source for every venue mentioned across the site, not a booking aggregator or a third-party blog. We found real errors: a ticket price that had gone up since we last checked, a festival’s true hours misquoted, a monument’s free-entry window attributed to the wrong day. Every error we found was corrected against the venue’s own site, and each fix is logged with the source we checked it against.
New guides go through the same discipline before they ever go live. Writing never states a specific price, opening hour, or admission fee as fact unless it can be sourced. Where we cannot verify a number, the guide tells you to check the venue’s own site instead of guessing. A separate check catches a policy, like a discount or a free-entry day, being wrongly assumed to apply to a venue just because it is common at similar places. Automated checks also block a new guide from going live if it duplicates the intent of one we have already published, or if the keyword it targets does not read like something an actual person would type into a search engine.
None of this makes the site perfect. It means every claim has a real source behind it or an honest “check before you go” instead of an invented number, and that when something slips through, we have a process for finding it and fixing it, not just a promise.
